Juan Carlos Martínez López finished his Chemical Degree at the University Complutense of Madrid, Spain in 2020. His final degree project about “Molecular recognition and NMR” was carried out in the Biological Research Centre (CIB) of CSIC. Then, in 2021, he got his Master´s Course in High Specialization in Plastics and Rubber from the Menéndez Pelayo International University, Spain. His final master's project about Smart polymers for sustainable energy storage was carried out within the Polymer Composite group at the ICTP. Currently he is doing his PhD about “Polymers of intrinsic microporosity (PIMs) for energy storage” at the ICTP (CSIC), Madrid, Spain. His PhD is under supervision of Dr. Javier Carretero Gonzalez. His main scientific interests include the development of advanced and sustainable polymer systems for electrochemical applications.
